Let's Grow
This is our Let's Grow page.
We'll let everyone know how we are doing and what the outcomes of our projects are.
You can see a short slide show of the beginning of our last effort below.
Get growing at Chingford Hall!
Thank you to everyone involved. We did so well with our last growing campaign that we had a visitor to school, to see how we did it.
Did you help, were you holding that watering can on the day?
We gathered over three thousand vouchers which was more than most and hence the visit.
With the vouchers, we ordered, compost, seed, watering cans, plan pots and weather watch kits so that we can plant up our vegetable patch and improve the environment in the school further whilst learning about how plants grow and health eating.
We are also in the top 15 schools in the borough now, and the top three in terms of value added from end of key stage one to end of key stage 2.
Watch this space for another set of fantastic results.
Here are some photos of a visit made to the school on Friday 27th March 2009 by Iain Duncan-Smith
-the Member of Parliament for the constituency of Chingford and Woodford Green...and previously leader of the Conservative party.
He came to present us with all the 'Let's Grow' materials which we managed to get by saving the Morrisons Let's Grow vouchers.
